Dorset Workplace Experiences
Jo Jardine, Ashley Blinds’ energetic Sales & Marketing Director, recently hooked up with Laura from Dorset Workplace Experiences (DWE) at The Cowshed in Lytchett Minster. DWE offers career counselling and educational support to young people in the BCP area. As part of this service they reach out to local businesses to help young people get workplace experience and Ashley Blinds are always willing to give opportunities to both students and school-leavers.
Jo to Laura spoke from the perspective of both employer and parent (her son is currently looking for a workplace experience linked to games design/coding) and the importance of providing young people with the opportunity to see the world of work for themselves. She explained how Ashley Blinds are making sure that they can offer work placement experiences and help the next generation get more career opportunities.

Ashley Blinds has always been keen to support its local community and has sponsored many local organisations and groups. We have supported one such organisation, Upton in Bloom, for three years now and it was a great honour to be invited to attend their celebration evening in October. Ashley Blinds’ Jo Jardine was presented with the Upton in Bloom Annual Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of our support over the year.
